Abstract
Objective To investigate the causes of infertility and evaluate the diagnostic value of laparoscopy in disgnosis of in-fertility.Methods The pelvic and internal genitalia were examined of 253 female patients with laparoscopy. The relationship between pelvic disease and infertility were analyzed. Results 242 out of 253 cases ( 95.65% ) had pelvic disease.Pelvic inflammatory disease ( 81.82%) ,endometriosis ( 30.30%) and polycystic ovarian syndrome ( PCOS,17.58%) were major causes in infertility. There were 91.85% patients with pelvic inflammatory disease and 20% with endometriosis presented fallopian obstruction. The results of hysterosal-pingography ( HSG) were consistent with laparoscopy, accounting 67.17% .127 cases received ultrasonography examination, the result of 91 cases ( 71.65% ) were confirmed by laparoscopy. Conclusion Laparoscopy is of great value on the infertility of which results from pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome. The pelvic inflammatory disease is the cardinal cause of dis-ease which leads to pelvic conglutination and fallopian obstruction. The patients which are suspected with pelvic disease or with unknown infertility should be operated by laparoscopy as soon as possible.
