Clinical Value of Ultrasound Real-time Tissue Elastography in Evaluating Hepatic Fibrosis Secondary to Chronic Hepatitis B

Abstract

Objective: To investigate the sensitivity and specificity of ultrasound real-time tissue elastography in diagnosing hepatic fibrosis secondary to chronic hepatitis B and analyze the clinical application value. Method: 60 patients with chronic hepatitis B examined by liver biopsy pathological examination in our hospital. Result: Among 60 patients,19 were pathologically staged at So of hepatic fibrosis,16 at S1stage,10 at S2stage,7 at S3stage and 8 at S4; 20 were scored 1 by ultrasound real-time tissue elastography,16cases scored 2,10 cases scored 3,7 cases scored 4 and 7 cases scored 5. As revealed by pathological results,41 cases had hepatic fibrosis and 19 cases had no hepatic fibrosis; as judged by ultrasound real-time tissue elastography score,40 cases had hepatic fibrosis and 20 cases had no hepatic fibrosis. The sensitivity of ultrasound real-time tissue elastography was 92.68% and the specificity was 89.47%. Conclusion: Using ultrasound real-time tissue elastography to evaluate hepatic fibrosis secondary to chronic hepatitis B has comparatively high sensitivity and specificity,which is a new method for clinical diagnosis of hepatic fibrosis,non-invasive and repeatable,and has an important significance for lesion development observation in the patients.
