Abstract
For improving the safety of power grid,a novel hybrid active power filter with series resonance circuit tuned at fundamental frequency is proposed in this paper. The topology and the main characteristics of the filter are introduced, and the experimental model is built according to the ip-iq current detecting algorithm based on the instantaneous reactive theory. It is shown from the simulation results that hybrid active power filter combining the passive filter with active filter is recommended. The capacity of active power filter decreases to a great extent, meanwhile the filtering performance is good for the harmonic current of power system.
