Niu Seng-ru's Prose Creation and the Influence in Classical Prose Movement in Tang Dynasty

Niu Seng-ru was a well-known statesman and writer in the Tang Dynasty. He wrote lots of policy essay, tablet inscriptions, allegories, poetry and tales of the marvelous. The political essay propagated the philosophical thinking and political views; allegory portrayed the implied meaning in the nature; the tablet inscriptions had a classical style. Those prose works had not been given due attention. An analysis of his prose theory, prose writing and political activities shows that Niu Seng-ru kept close connection with the famous ancient prose writers, such as Han Yu, Liu Zong-yuan, especially enjoys an important place in the classical prose movement in the Tang Dynasty.
