Research status of lignocellulosic materials for fuel ethanol

Abstract

The current status of the technologies to produce fuel ethanol from lignocellulosic materials is introduced.Various processes of material pretreatment,hydrolysis and fermentation are reviewed in detail.The features and economics of these technologies are analyzed.Meanwhile,some suggestions to further study on the production of fuel ethanol from lignocellulose are also given.
