Abstract
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of combined treatment of traditional Chinese and western medicine on ascites due to liver cirrhosis. Methods:Selected 80 cases were randomly divided into two groups with 40 cases in each group.Besides the active treatment of the original diseases, proper rest and reasonable diet, control group was given to diuretic spironolactone and symptomatic treatment, and treatment group was given to Granules of Wei-ling and parched millet soup based on above western treatment in control group. One course of treatment included 1 month. Results:In control group,10 cases were excellent,18 ones effective, and 12 ones ineffective. The total effective rate was 70.0%.In treatment group,22 cases were excellent,15 ones effective, and 3 ones ineffective. The total effective rate was 92.5%.There was significant difference between the two groups( P 0.05).Conclusion:The effect of combined treatment of traditional Chinese and western medicine is better than that of single western medicine on ascites due to liver cirrhosis.
