A Comprehensive Evaluation on Development Level of Modern Service Industry of Shandong Province Based on Principal Component Analysis

Modern service industry,with the characteristics of low-energy and less pollution,is a necessary way of realizing low carbon consumption and sustainable development.Though establishing a comprehensive evaluation model of modern service industry with principal component analysis,the thesis discovers that: the development environment and scale of modern service industry are the first principal component;the structural layers of it,the development potential of it and the development speed of it is the following principal component.Evaluated by the comprehensive evaluation model,the development level of Shandong province's modern service industry is above the average of China,but it is lower than any other advanced eastern provinces and municipalities.It is suggested that the government of Shandong province should take the following measures to improve its modern service industry: Firstly,boosting the process of urbanization and improving the construction of urban infrastructure.Secondly,vigorously promoting industry convergence and paying more attention to developing productive service industry.Thirdly,reconstructing and upgrading traditional service industry and enhancing in a large scale the level of life service industry.Lastly,reforming personnel training system,in order to provide intellectual support for modern service industry.
