Research on the Soil-Nail Wall by Field Tests

Soil-nail walls are used widely,and also used for deeper foundation pits.There are more and more new types of soil-nail walls;for example,the stepped soil-nail wall is a kind of new soil-nail wall.This paper introduces an instance of soil-nail wall engineering with both the common soil-nail wall and the stepped soil-nail wall,both the horizontal displacement and the nail force are tested in situ.The field tests indicate: either the horizontal displacement or the nail force of the stepped soil-nail wall are less than those of the common soil-nail wall.
