The efficacy and safety of Fufangyuanzhi Mixture for acute bronchitis

Abstract

Objective:To observe the efficacy and safety of Fufangyuanzhi Mixture for acute bronchitis.Methods:100 patients with acute bronchitis were randomly divided into treatment group(n=50)and control group(n=50).In addition to the usual treatment,the Fufangyuanzhi Mixture was given to the treatment group for a course of one week.White blood cell count and its categorization of the peripheral blood were taken before and after treatment.X-ray examination was taken on some cases.Results:The clinical cure rate and total effective rate of treatment group were 80.0% and 98.0% respectively.The clinical cure rate and total effective rate of control group were 60.0% and 92.0% respectively.The clinical cure rate and total effective rate of treatment group were significantly higher than those of control group(P0.05).Conclusion:The mix-ture is markedly effective and safe for cough and phlegm of acute bronchitis.
