Abstract
Objective To study the symptoms,signs,complications and pulmonary functions and other clinical aspects of elderly patients with severe bronchial asthma.MethodRetrospective analysis was made on 28 geriatric asthma patients during the period of January 2005 to March 2009.ResultsDyspnea,cyanosis,wheezing rale and moist rales were more serious in elderly patients.There were 26 patients who recovered and were discharged(92.86%),and 2 patients died(7.14%).ConclusionThe complex therapy with ventilation and drugs might be effective method for severe bronchial asthma in elderly patients.
