Abstract
The influence of surface property of carbon black and the structure of hydrophobic groups in dispersants on the arching strength of dispersant with carbon black, and the influence of incorporation of hydrolysate on the electrical repellency among the dispersed carbon black particles and the dispersing stability have been studied. It has shown that the polymer dispersant with flat structure in the hydrophobic group and dissociable anion in the hydrophilic group is much stable against the hydrolytes, which can be used to disperse acid carbon black comprising fine original particles and to form a stable dispersion .
