Abstract
AbstrcatA simple, rapid and sensitive method for the determination of Taxol and its analogues in Taxus using solid phase extraction and high performance liquid chromatography was developed in which a novel high molecular resin was applied. Powdered plant material was extracted with methanol. After being purified by PRP-6 solid phase extraction, the purified extract was analyzed directly by high performance liquid chromatography with a C_(18) column and UV detector at 227 nm. Mixtures of acetonitrile and water (45∶55 in volume ration) were used as mobile phase for elution. The recoveries were between 91% and 98%. Taxol and its analogues in plant extract were separated satisfactorily.
