Abstract
The Technology Commission of Changjiang Water Resources Commission organized river channel reconnaissance and comprehensive investigation on the harnessing of the Yangtze estuary.Based on investigation,some issues on scouring and silting variation in the nearby of Xuliujing node,the constraint reach at Biandan sha shoal,diversion outlet at Nangang branch and Beigang branch,Nancao cannel and Beicao channel,Hengsha pass-channel and north Yangtze river branch in the estuary of the Yangtze river is briefly analyzed.It is considered that the diversion at Nangang channel and Beigang channel is the key of the Yangtze estuary harnessing and the control roles of Xuliujing node and Biandansha node and the correlation of the shoals and channel of the branches are pointed out.The variation tendency of river channel evolution at the Yangtze estuary is analyzed.
