Abstract

Aim To asses the molluscicidal effect of Shachongding against snails in laboratory and field.Methods The molluscicidal effect and climbing-up rate of Shachongding against snails by immersion method was adapted in laboratory,and molluscicidal effect of Shachongding against snails by spraying method was used in laboratory and field.Results The snail mortality rate was more than 96.67% both at 2.0 mg/L for 48h and at 1.0 mg/L for 72h by immersed in 25℃ laboratory.The median lethal concentration (LC 50 ) was 0.3970 mg/L for 48h,0.2127 for 72h.The snail mortality rate of Shachongding was more than 78% and 86% at 1.0 mg/L by spraying in laboratory and field.Conclusions Shachongding has high molluscicidal effect and can be used in field for snail eliminating.It is necessary that further studies should be carried out on influence factors of the molluscicidal effect.
