Abstract

Basic principles of rapid prototyping are introduced Principles,materials and factors affecting precision of four rapid prototyping methods which are Stereo Lithography Apparatus(SLS),Fused Deposition Modeling(FDM),Selective Laser Sintering(SLS) and Laminated Object Manufacturing(LOM) are analyzed.Applications of rapid prototyping are introduced.Based on the latest technologies,the development trends of rapid prototyping are proposed.
