Abstract

Objective: To analysis the MRI features of intracranial lymphoma for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods: The MRI data of 28 cases diagnosed as intracranial lymphoma by surgery or biopsy were analyzed retrospectively. All the cases were performed by plain scan and enhanced MRI scan. Results: There were 6 cases with single lesion and 22 cases with multiple lesions. The lesions of 14 cases distributed in supratentorium, of 4 cases in inferiortentorium and of 10 cases in both supratentorium and inferiortentorium. Most of the lesions were located in the deep white matter and were round or irregular in shape. The hypointensity on T1WI and isointensity or hyperintensity on T2WI were observed. The edema surrounding the tumor was mild. The marked enhancement of the lesions was demonstrated after having been injected the contrast medium. Conclusion: The MRI manifestations of intracranial lymphoma are absent of specificity. The definitive diagnosis will be established only by surgery or biopsy.
