Abstract
By analyzing access network technology through ethernet passive optical networks and shortcomings of various bandwidth allocation algorithm existing,a novel dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm is proposed based on priority levels classification of services and optical network unit queuing scheduling mechanism in this paper. It manages different priority levels bandwidths in a multi-point control protocol of ethernet passive optical networks.Simulations show that the proposed dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm has not only higher link efficiency and bandwidth utilizing rate, but also higher efficiency in resource allocation.
