Abstract

The ground penetrating radar can be used to present position, strike, dip and hade of a fault directly and receive throw of faults indirectly by records. However, the method can not be used to describe the true features of fillings in fault plane.Caves in shallow foundation may be determined simply with the ground penetrating radar. The ground penetrating radar will not damage the target and have high accuracy in shallow detection, which is verified in site.
