Diversity and faunal composition analysis of darkling beetles from Ningxia,China

Abstract

By identifying to specimens of the darkling beetles and relevant data from Ningxia region,We obtain 140 species belonging to 39 genera,17 tribes and 5 subfamilies in total.Based on the data,we analyse composion of species diversity and distribution characteristics of the darkling beetle base in the area.The preliminary results as follow:1) The diversity of species from more to less successively are: Tenebrioninae(21 genera and 76 species),occupying 54.3%of the total species Pimeliinae(13 genera and 46 species),accounting for 32.9% Alleculinae(1 genus and 9 species),accounting for 6.4% Lagriinae 2 genera and 7 species,accounting for 5.0% Diaperinae(2 genera and 2 species),accounting for 1.4%;2) Analysis on the faunal composition from the view of the palearctic realm,the main is member of Mongolia-Xinjiang Region belonging to the Centro-Asia,Palaearctic member is 117 species(83.7%),other faunal members are only 23 species(16.3%);3) In the zoogeographic regions of China,Contain common species,the distributional relations the darkling beetles from Ningxia is closest the Mongolia-Xinjiang Region,known 39 genera and 129 species,occupying 92.1%of the total species;The North China Region(25 genera and 64 species) is the next,accounting for 45.7%.The Qinhai-Xizang Region(16 genera 22 species) is the third,accounting for 15.7%.The other Regions account for a small proportion;4) In the regional distribution,The faunal characters of Ningxia's darkling beede presents preliminary trend is;the Desert and Semidesert Region 114 species(81.4%) the Liupanshan Region 38 species(27.1%) the Loess Plateau Region 30 species(21.4%);5) known endemic species of locality have 18 species,of which 13 species distribute in the Desert and Semidesert Region,only 5 species of other regions.
