Abstract

On basis of the period-division of the execution of positive fiscal policy, with the Chow Test and the Granger-Sims model, the reason-result relation between the growth of economy and the fiscal deficit of China is tested. The result has proved that the fiscal deficit has different influence to the growth of GDP before and after the all-around execution of positive fiscal policy in 1998, which means that the function of fiscal deficit is strengthened.
