Abstract

The determination methods of calcium by EDTA titration were compared experimentally.The effects of the preparation of standard solution,indicator used and the amount of alkali on added the analytical result were discussed,and then the modified method for Ca(2+)determination by EDTA titration is proposed.However,the procedure modified has the characters of traditional,accuracy with an error ≤0.3% for the samples of natural waters,underground waters and brines while the mass ratio of lithium and calcium was less than 1.
