Abstract
Co-emulsifying agent had an effect on performance of methanol- diesel emulsions, the effect of different kinds and different percentages of co-emulsifying agent, different structures of the same alcohol on the stability, rheological characteristics and other performances of methanol-diesel emulsions were investigated under the conditions of constant temperature 25 ℃,emulsifying time was 2 min, methanol content was 15%,stirring speed was 5 × 2 800 r/min,percentages of emulsifying agent was 3%. The experiment results show that the stability of the emulsion firstly increases and then decreases with the increasing of different percentages of co-emulsifying agent, and n-alkanol is better than isomers. 1-butanol is selected as co-emulsifying agent and percentages of co-emulsifying agent is 1%,the emulsions appear as proximately Newton fluids, the viscosity of emulsions is 4. 68 m Pa·s,corrosion to copper standards is 1 b,chroma is 2. 5,flash point is 57 ℃,condensation point is- 8℃,which meet the national standards.
