Abstract
Based on FAO-Penman-Monteith method,Hargreaves method,Priestley-Taylor method, and FAO-17 Penman method, the paper studied the reference crop evapotranspiration(ET0) of Shijiazhuang in Hebei province. The results show that FAO-17 Penman method has a good agreement with FAO-Penman-Monteith method and can be replaced by Penman-Monteith method in this area.Hargreaves method must be revised before used in this district.Priestley-Taylor estimates are deviated from FAO-Penman-Monteith estimates because Priestley-Taylor method has not a aerodynamic part instead of a constant α.So when using this method to calculate ET0,you should amend α for different months and seasons.
