Abstract

ER(electrorheological) is a new sort of smart and intelligent material, which has far ranging knowledge background. Its' application and exploiture take on compositive characteristic in subject and technology. It is important to bring ER into mechanical engineering. In this paper, consulting the research production of ER, we designed and produced an ER absorber. Through experiment, we tested the ER absorber's performance and gained the parameter data.
