Abstract

Objective To explore the method and its advantage and shortcoming of exposing recurrent largngeal nerve(RLN) during operation of thyroid.Methods Retrospectively analyze 676 cases with thyroid disease from Oct.1998 to Oct.2004.Dissecting RLN 178 cases,undissect RLN 498 cases.Results None occured RLN injury in undissected cases,2 cases RLN injury.injury rate 0.40%.There's obvious difference(P0.01).Conclusion Dissecting RLN during thyroid operation has prevention function to RLN.
