An Interpretation of Wang Yangming's(王阳明) Idea of "Zhonghe"(中和)

Wang Yangming interpreted the categories of The Doctrine of the Mean(《中庸》) in new ways,especially the categories of Zhong(中)and He(和).In his eyes,Zhong is integrative with He,and emphasis should be put on He.Also for him Conscience is the inner Zhong,and this Conscience could serve as the doctrine of the world.In his old age,Wang Yangming focused on the exploration of Conscience,and he also interpreted Zhonghe with Conscience.Wang Yangming's ideas on Conscicence and Zhonghe are very important in the development of the Neo-Confucianism in Song and Ming dynasties.
