Abstract

[Objective]To investigate the current status of human Soil-borne nematode infection in Sanhe Town of Ping'an County,Qinghai Province, and provide a scientific basis for the policy making of the next control program.[Methods]Kato-Katz method was used on the monitoring points within three years old or more permanent residents of hookworm, oundworm, ipworm and pinworm examination; The swab anal with cellophane was used to check the pinworm eggs of children within 3-12 years old.We collected samples from 10 gardens, surrounding the toilet, courtyard, kitchen four locations soil samples. We established an EXCEL database,do the statistical processing of the data.[Results]A total of 1102 persons were investigated,126 had soil-borne nematode infection, with the infection rate of 11.43%.The inspect species were roundworm and pinworm, and roundworm was the major in which 124 persons infected, with the infection rate of 11.25%.2 in 147 children under 12 years old had pinworm infection, and infection rate was 1.36%.11 were a sample of a total of 44 copies of the soil, and only one of the garden found human Ascaris eggs in soil, and the detection rate was 2.27%.[Conclusion]The survey only found the roundworm and pinworm infections, including roundworm infection as the main insect species, which the infection rate was 11.25%,to mild infection in the main.Farmers and students are the main infected population, pinworm infection in children is still the main issue of our province geohelminthes infection, which should take effective measures to reduce and control its spread.Soil monitoring shows that contamination of eggs present in the environment is a risk factor of soil-borne nematode infection in population.
