Abstract
The paper use a part data of the database of the second land survey in the whole country as the experiment data,the part we use is 1:10000 land use database of Feng county in Shaanxi province,which we can make the 1:50000 current land use map of Feng county by the method of using the automated cartographic generalization function of ArcGIS9.2 combined with manual handling.This article provides the working process which have many advantages such as simple,high speed and good quality in mapping.
