Abstract
Objective To study the changes and significance of arterial blood gas in asthmatic patient with acute attack. Methods The arterial blood gas of 329 asthmatic patients with acute attack were measured, and the types of acid base disorder of arterial blood and the profiles of pH, PCO 2, PO 2 of arterial blood gas were analyzed. Results (1) The types of acid-base disorder were ranked as following: respiratory alkalosis (116, 35.3%), normal (79, 24.0%), respiratory alkalosis plus metabolic alkalosis (58, 17.6%), respiratory acidosis (31, 9.4%), respiratory acidosis plus metabolic acidosis (18, 5.5%), metabolic alkalosis (13, 4.0%), metabolic acidosis (9, 2.7%), respiratory acidosis plus metabolic alkalosis (5, 1.5%). (2) The types of pH, PaCO 2 and PaO 2 were as follows: pH7.450(35.3%),7.350pH≤7.450(52.9%),pH≤7.350(11.8%).PaCO 24.67 kPa(45.6%),4.67 kPa≤PaCO 26.0 kPa(38.0%),PaCO 2≥6.0 kPa(16.4%).PaO 2≥10.67 kPa(7.9%),8.0 kPa≤PaO 210.67 kPa(44.7%),PaO 28.0 kPa(47.4%). Conclusion Measurement of arterial blood gas is of momentous significance for judging the severity of acute asthma, the types of acid base disorder of arterial blood gas and treatment in asthmatic patient with acute attack.
