Abstract

The hoisting winch is a kind of necessary transporting equipment during production in collieries. During operation of the hoisting winch, wire ropes are wound continuously onto the drum, the tension of wire ropes varies from large to slight, while the pressure on the drum gradually increases. For this special condition, the paper carries out the finite element analysis of the drum with 1t mine hoisting winch serving as the studied objective, and analyses the stress distribution of main parts and possible damage during operation, so as to ensure the safe operation of the winch in underground mines.
