Beauty and the call of nature of life——Shao Xunmei and Chinese modern poetry

Shao Xunmei is regarded as the only esthetic poet in China in the 20th century for his translated introduction of the estheticism from the west into Chinese modern poetry.His anthology serves as a framework of poetry combined with philosophy,religion,history,thinking,and psychology.He argues that the poetry is harmonious in rhyme,inner nature,and depictions of color and form of beauty.However,all this leads not to his laurel,but to his eternal shame.
