Abstract

Magnetorheological fluids(MRF) are newly developed intelligent materials and have magnetorheological characteristic with response .The devices based on MRF include absorbers,brakes,clutches,polishing devices,hydraulic valves,etc.From the way of designing the damper,this paper describes the dynamics model and semi-active control strategies of magnetorheological fluid damper,and its application status and developing prospect are summarized as well.
