Abstract
There are three dominant modes for the research on value theory in present-day China. They are: 'meaning theory', 'demanding theory' and 'relation theory'. These three modes have revealed the internal line for the value theory research in present-day China. By analysis of this line we may draw the conclusion that the essence of value is man's practical ability and its target.
