Abstract

The copper matte sample was dissolved in a mixed acid of HNO3,HCl and HF.A certain amount of copper and iron was added into the standard solution to match with the matrix and then the inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry was used to determine cadmium, arsenic, lead and zinc. The interference among detected elements was not evident.Certified reference materials and real samples were analyzed and the analytical results were in good agreement with the certified values and those from other methods. The recovery of the method is 85%-93% for Cd,90%-98% for As,92%-111% for Pb,92%-107% for Zn with the precision(RSD) of 0.75%-2.55%(n=12).The method was compared with single element analysis method. It is showed that the proposed method is in need of shorter analysis time and suitable to the analysis of routine inspection.
