Technology of schema matching

Abstract

Schema matching is a basic problem in many application fields as fundamental operation of schema, such as data integ- ration, data warehousing, E-business and so on. In this paper, the definition and classification of schema matching is mainly in- troduced. And various schema matching systems which have been developed are elaborated, and their merits and shortages are pointed out. Finally, some future directions in schema matching are discussed.
