Investigation and Analysis of Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescriptions

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the nonstandard problem of traditional medicine prescriptions in Shanghai Yangpu District Central Hospital so as to improve prescription quality and promote standardization of traditional medicine prescriptions.METHODS: The traditional medicine prescriptions in 2010 in our hospital were reviewed to detect and analyze the problems lie in the nonstandard prescriptions in accordance with the Prescription Management Act and Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2010 edition).RESULTS: The traditional medicine prescriptions had problems in clinical diagnosis and drug use,writing of drug name,prescription footnote,dose presentation,overdose,lack of signature on revision etc.CONCLUSION: Measures should be taken to tighten control on quality of traditional medicine prescriptions so as to provide better pharmaceutical service and promote standardization of traditional medicine prescriptions.
