Abstract
A spectrophotometric method for the determination of phenol, which based on its inhibitory effect to the oxidation reaction of methyl orange with potassium bromate in acid medium was described.Phenol could be determined in the concentration range of 0.1—1.0μg/mL and detection limit of the method is 0.08μg/mL for phenol.Test of precision was made at the concentration level of 0.5μg/mL of phenol for 11 multiplicate determinations, and the RSD was 1.52%.In the application of this methed to determination of phenol in sample waste, the result was satisfied.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
