Abstract
Objective To raise diagnostic accuracy of primary lymphoma in central nervous system by summarizing CT and MRI performance. Methods 6 patients with primary lymphoma in central nervous system confirmed by surgery and pathology were selected, among which 2 cases were male and 4 cases were female.2 cases were carried out CT scan and 5 cases MRI scan before operation.Of the 2 CT scanned cases,1 case performed plain scan and enhanced CT scan, the other case performed CT plain scan and enhanced MRI scan.Of the MRI scanned cases,2 cases performed plain MRI scan and enhanced MRI scan, and 2 cases performed single plain MRI scan.Performances of CT and MRI were then summarized. Results There were 7 lesions in 6 cases, among which 5 cases were single lesion,1 case was multiple lesions.CT and MRI had certain characteristics: 6 lesions were found deep in the brain near the center line, and the borders were generally clear, which showed a slightly higher density in CT.In MRI T1WI showed equal or slightly lower signal, and T2WI showed equal or slightly higher signal. They were both enhanced significantly after injection of contrast medium,of which 1 case was patchy enhanced. Conclusion CT and MRI can be used as primary choice for examination of lymphoma in central nervous system.
