Abstract

Diabetic nephropathy(DN)is the commonly microvascular complication in the diabetics, more and more experiments and clinical researches indicate that oxidative stress plays significant role in the development of diabetic nephropathy.Diabetes is a metabolic disorder, and can release more free radical productions;meanwhile, high glucose also affects the activity and expression of antioxidase of free radical.Because of two reasons above, level of free radicle in vivo goes up,and increased free radicle damages the tissue of kidney, thereby, leads to diabetic nephropathy. The therapeutical effect of antioxygen to diabetic nephropathy is well studied, fluvastatin, angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor and thiazolidine are considered to protect kidney to some extent, and this provides new research directions and therapeutic targets of diabetic nephropathy.
