Abstract
The coals used in electric power plants of Shandong Province were chosen for combustion experiments, which were carried out with a tube furnace by mixing the lean coal with different coals, then the NO emission characteristics were analyzed under different oxygen volume fractions and different temperatures. The results showed that as the oxygen volume fraction is increased, the first peak of NO increased and appeared earlier, and the total emission amount increased and total emission time decreased. When lean coal was blended with lignite coal, there was inhibition of NO under a proper combustion temperature, but while blended with bituminous coal and anthracite coal, the total emission amounts of NO were close to each other under different temperatures,as was the total emission time.
