Abstract

The analysis and design of frequency / time hopping sequences are the crucial technologies of the spread spectrum communication systems. The frequency hopping sequences with no hit zone is one emerging area, which has been a hot topic in the communications field. In this paper,we do some deeper research on the theoretical bounds and design of frequency hopping sequences with no hit zone, which points out some essential properties of frequency hopping sequences with no hit zone. The theoretical bounds on the periodic Hamming correlations of frequency hopping sequence sets with no hit zone are discussed. The relationships between these different theoretical bounds are disclosed and the equivalent conditions for these theoretical bounds are presented. In addition,a general construction method of frequency hopping sequences with no hit zone is proposed. By this construction method, optimal frequency hopping sequence sets with no hit zone of any length and any optimal frequency hopping sequence sets with no hit zone can be obtained.
