Abstract

The effect of salicylic acid(SA) pretreatment on photosynthesis of Xinongyou 1 rice seedlings under chilling stress was investigated. The results showed that 0.5 mmol/L SA pretreatment increased the chlorophyll content, and net photosynthetic rate, while decreased stomatal conductivity, intercellular content, electrolytes leakage and malondialdehyde(MDA).It was indicated that SA pretreatment could increase chilling resistance of rice seedling by protecting photosynthetic organization.
