Abstract

Digital signal processor (DSP) is the microprocessor specially by digital signal processing ( DSP )algorithm.The character of DSP algorithm is presented in the paper, and basic architecture organization of DSP and the two representative architectures of the moder, mainstream DSP are directed, then point out the advantage and disadvantage of each architecture.According to new circumstances of application area of DSP and the development of microprocessor architecture, new trends of DSP architecture is indicated in the paper finally.
