Abstract
Based on the analysis on the development trend of optical transmission systems and the theory of concatenated code,a novel coding scheme of interleaved type concatenated code is proposed based on the traditional coding schemes. The simulation analysis shows that the novel interleaved type concatenated code, compared with traditional coding schemes,is a more excellent concatenated code with the advantages of better error-correction performance, moderate redundancy and easy implementation. Therefore, the improved novel coding scheme is more suitable for practical applications of optical transmission systems.
