Abstract
Colorectal cancer accompanied with neuroendocrine differentiation is a more common phenomenon. It has been reported that neuroendocrine cells in colorectal cancer originate from the multi-potential stem cells in endoderm. The differentiation of neuroendocrine in colorectal cancer is closely relates with IL-1,IL-6,transforming growth factor β(TGF-β),B-cell lymphoma gene 2(Bcl-2),p53 gene,N-myc downstream regulated gene 1(NDRG1),regenerating gene Ⅳ(Reg Ⅳ) and so on.It is well recognized that the emergence of neuroendocrine differentiation indicates the poor prognosis,However, many recent studies suggest that the emergence of neuroendocrine differentiation has nothing to do with the prognosis.
