Abstract
Collision risk between airplanes in routes is one primary question of airspace planning at present.Collision risk of crossing track is analyzed in this paper.Firstly,a formula for collision probability of crossing tracks is derived. Then collision risk of crossing tracks is analyzed by combining protected area methods with probability theory. Finally, the collision risk of crossing tracks in Shanghai area has been computed by research and application on a method of airspace safety evaluation which is software developed independently. The paper provides a feasible method for calculation of collision risk of crossing tracks.
