Abstract
In order to offer some information on making pruning standards, the essay introduces the survey of street trees pruning in 10 city roads and 10 city parks as well as the assessment of pruning cuts, then offers some improvement suggestions. Research findings show that street trees at these 20 sample areas had proper pruning and their pruning wound had closed up generally. Each species has different response to pruning with each characteristic that must be considered in making pruning program.
