Abstract

When Copper parts were prepared by powder injection molding,the effects of sintering parameters on the quality of the parts were investigated to obtain the ideal injection molding process and sintering parameters.The sintering quality and shrinkage of the sintering parts were compared under vacuum or hydrogen atmosphere and different sintering temperature and heating rate.The results show that the sintering of the copper blanks must be in hydrogen atmosphere;the heating rate must be controlled strictly and 5℃/min is better in this study;the sintering temperature should be near but lower than the melting point of copper,the higher the sintering temperature is,the larger the shrinkage rate and the compact density of the sintered parts are.
