Abstract

The mechanical properties of the GDL-7 steel after quenching and series of tempering at 830 ℃ have been studied. The results show that the rockwell hardness of this material gradually decreased with the increase of tempering temperature after quenching and series of tempering at 830 ℃.Yield strength and tensile strength gradually reduce with the increase of the tempering temperature, and it appears the irreversible temper brittleness and the second temper brittleness when tempering temperature is 350 ℃ and 500 ℃,respectively.
