Abstract
The theories concerning the economies of scale in banking were always based on parametric or non-parametric methods with little consideration of their integration.This paper brings forward a typological philosophy of scale economies based on the characteristics of China commercial banks.At the meanwhile,we propose a new method to acquire indicators of scale economies through production function fitting based on DEA.
